About Me

Then they advanced to this below :)

I didn't know a whole lot about polish making so I started out making them one at a time. I never made them up ahead of time. I would get an order for one and then make it. Every single order was done this way.....ONE AT A TIME...NEVER IN BATCHES....That was because I didn't know any better. :) I would actually dump the suspension base in the bottle and the glitter and mix with a toothpick and bang it against my hand for awhile to get it to mix up. It was the most PAINFUL PROCESS making glitter nail polishes this way. I was like...OKAY...I can't keep doing things this way or I am never going to get ahead of the game. I needed to scale this business and it was never going to happen with me doing it this way.
Then I realized that other indie polish makers were making their polishes up in batches. I was scrolling on Instagram one day and came across someone mixing up a huge bucket of polish and how it was being done.
So I decided to give it a try with my glitter topper nail polish mixes.
Well...it failed.
The glitter would never quite come out right when I tried to make it in a batch. I would pour it into the bottle and it never looked the same as if I mixed it straight in the bottle.
So I went back to just making them one at a time.
This was so time consuming and was not able to grow my business this way. I was never going to get to a point where I could build an inventory up if I kept going this route.
As time went on I realized that I really loved the glitter mixing part more than making glitter nail polish so I moved into just making up glitter mixes. Talk about FUN!!!! I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoy coming up with names and holiday collections even right down to taking the photos of the glitter. Sometimes I do miss making polish but then I start thinking about what my poor hand went through and I put it on the backburner. So for now I think the polish making days ship has sailed. (At least for now...you never know...I might make some limited edition ones in the future or something....) Here is some pictures below of the glitter mixes that I do now.

This grid photo above is of my Easter glitter collection called "Easter Is Coming In Town".
I have been thinking about adding more items to the store for arts & crafts such as wood shapes to paint on and other items. My husband and I actually run other businesses outside of just this and it's a very full time job for both of us.
I just want to say from the bottom of my heart.....a HUGE thank you to all my customers that support me and that keep coming back time after time. It means more than you will ever know.
I am not a giant company... I am a small owned business and appreciate every single order that I get. Your support for Glitter Lambs helps pay the bills and put food on the table. :)
And a side note: If you purchase from me and create something with it then please leave a review on website and upload your videos or pictures. Or you can share them on my private Facebook group at this link: CLICK HERE I LOVEEEEE seeing what you guys come up with!!!!
So I guess this is the end of the post but I thought I would just a give a sneek peek into how I got started. Thanks for reading :)
